Open Competitions
We hold a Ladies Open Competition and a Mixed Open Competition each year. Both events are well established and popular, offering excellent golf, great food and a good day out. In addition, at the beginning of September there is the HGU Order of Merit ‘Harpenden Championship’, traditionally for players from clubs in the locality but now open to a wider field.

Tuesday 10th July 2012
A 4-ball better ball Stableford for handicaps 30 & under. Prizes for 1st-5th pairs, best front & back 9 & nearest the pin plus a mystery prize. Entry fee £38 per person to include coffee on arrival & buffet lunch. Closing date 20 April 2012
Sunday 29th July 2012
18 holes Stableford with handicap limits of 20 for men and 30 for ladies. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd plus best front and back 9. The entry fee is £64 per couple to include an evening meal and closing date is Monday 25th June 2012.
